The Opening of Cator Park North Play Area & Kidbrooke Summer Fete

On Saturday 8th June, Holy Family's choir was invited to sing at the official opening of the stunning new play area at Cator Park North in Kidbrooke Village. There was a great turn out of local residents for this event and our choir carried out a fantastic performance; singing Best Day of My Life, Shotgun and the Greatest Showman. It was lovely to see so many proud parents and the audience joining in with the songs and clapping along. A huge thank you to our music teacher Miss Morrisey from St Thomas More Comprehensive; who through our school partnership, works with Holy Family and delivers weekly music lessons and skilfully co-ordinates our school choir.

The choir's performance was followed by speeches from Berkeley Homes, Deputy Leader of Greenwich Council and The London Wildlife Trust, who talked about the importance of community cohesion and of keeping and enhancing nature within our city landscapes. Finally, the ribbon was cut by the Mayor of Greenwich; where upon all the children flooded in to the park to enjoy a creatively designed, amazing new play space which will be such an asset to the local area.

Holy Family had a stall at the Summer Fete which gave the school an opportunity to meet Kidbrooke residents and to demonstrate our true commitment to the future of the community of Kidbrooke Village, by working in partnership with the agencies that are promoting this.

It was a lovely day and Holy Family was thrilled to be part of such an important community event. We look forward to continued partnerships and projects working together with Berkeley Homes Kidbrooke Village, London Wildlife Trust and our Community Police.
