Tony Holdsworth

Category of Governor: Foundation Governor

Tony was brought up in Greenwich, one of a family of seven children. After graduating from university, he worked in publishing for 15 years before retraining as a teacher at Christ Church College in Canterbury.

Tony qualified as a teacher in 1990 and taught in three Kent schools before becoming headteacher of a Catholic primary school in Folkestone in 1997. He retired after 20 years at the school and now lives in Eltham.

His three sons all attended St. Anselm's Catholic Secondary School in Canterbury and Tony served as a Parent Governor of the school for four years.                                                                                                                                                                                                     


​Colette Doran-Hannon - Executive Head of School

Colette Doran-Hannon was appointed the Executive Head of Holy Family from January 2020. She is shared between St Thomas More Bexleyheath and the Holy Family site across the week. Colette has been part of Catholic School leadership teams since 1999 and enjoys developing schools to be the best that they can be. As a Systems Leader for Bexley and other London authorities, she has supported a number of schools and their leadership teams to develop schools, including secondary, primary, special and other schools with religious character. Her particular passion is for Catholic Education, having attended Catholic schools herself, she believes that children can be supported to achieve greatness in schools that display a distinctive Catholic nature. She lives by the motto, work hard, play hard and pray hard and is determined to have a positive impact on the education that is provided at Holy Family.




 Rosemarie Cousins

Category of Governor: Foundation Governor

My name is Rosemarie Cousins, I am a Foundation Governor and Vice Chair at Holy Family Catholic primary school.   I have been a Governor at Holy Family Primary School for 7 years.
I have lived in Kidbrooke all my life and went to Holy Family Primary school myself, then onto St Thomas More Secondary School and Christ The King Sixth Form College.  I attended Greenwich University and have a degree in Building Surveying.  â€‹
I grew up on the  Ferrier Estate, the youngest of six children.  I loved growing up on the Ferrier Estate and have many happy memories. It is now reformed into Kidbrooke Village and our school is part of this new community.

I have also been a parishioner of St John Fisher all my life and we are very fortunate to have a lovely parish community.  My daughter has attended Holy Family Primary school since nursery.  I am passionate and very proud of our school, community and parish  It is a warm, caring school, which I care greatly about.  I am proud to serve the school as a Foundation Governor.




Father Richard Plunkett

Category of Governor: Foundation Governor

I am the Parish Priest of SS John Fisher & Thomas More Church Eltham Well Hall. I am also the Dean of Greenwich Deanery. Before coming to Eltham, I worked in the Bishop’s Conference in the Catholic Communications Centre and also worked for the BBC World Service in Religious Broadcasting. For the last forty seven years I have served in the Archdiocese of Southwark as a Foundation Governor in both primary and secondary schools. I am also a Foundation Governor at my parish school of St. Thomas More Catholic Primary School, Eltham.





Anita Gallagher

Category of Governor: Foundation Governor

I am a Greenwich resident and a retired Executive Headteacher.  I worked in education for 33 years across schools in Lewisham, Greenwich and Southwark.  I am whole-heartedly committed to Catholic education and the importance placed on the teaching, learning and experience of gospel values within our school and the wider community.  I am proud to serve as a Foundation Governor.






 Julie Taylor

Category of Governor - Foundation Governor

 Julie  is the Head of School Improvement for the Royal Borough of Greenwich.  Julie has worked for the LA since 2004 and, prior to that, taught in primary schools in both England and Canada.  

She is an advocate for children and works tirelessly to improve the life chances of the pupils in Greenwich.  She is committed to securing best outcomes - academic, social, emotional and cultural – so that our children and young people can successfully fulfil their aspirations. 

Her areas of specialism are school improvement, curriculum, leadership/management and the development of school policy.
